Some great points here! The sad truth is that many men stay with women *because* she emasculates him. It's what he's used to from his childhood family dynamic. Doesn't mean the resentments don't pile up though.

I appreciate you bringing a female perspective to this because, as both you and Ellen McRae pointed out, it takes two to tango. Ultimately, without a lot of awareness and inner work, people will either seek out partners with whom to recreate that familial dynamic, or they find ways to create it.
