Thank you for this. I know most women lie about these things and for the reasons you list. It saddens me that it’s the reality but what I decided to do was work on the insecurities I have around being told these things, so I can be more ready for the truth.

My last girlfriend told me sordid details of her past which I was not ready for, and it haunted our relationship till the end. At first I was shocked, then I wanted to do what she did, only to find that she didn’t want to go backwards. Her wild days were mostly over.
