This is more evidence toward the detrimental effects of social media on dating and relationships. As you said, people are (or seem) available at the push of a button, and so is validation, attention, or false hope that one day the other person will come around. I had this happen recently and realized that my responsibility to myself was to unfollow her and move on with my life.

On the flip side, it’s easy to get FOMO when the person you no longer wanted posts enticing pics or pics with other people. We’ve gotten very good at marketing ourselves.
